A strong mental health community is the result of hard work and dedication by a multitude of diverse groups and individuals. Much of the day to day operation of the Mental Health Foundation of Australia (Vic) has to do with building networks and fostering communication between consumers, carers, service providers and concerned individuals.
The Mental Health Community encompasses government departments, non-government organisations, advocacy groups, health services, social workers and social support services, charities, hospitals, psychologists, psychiatrists and many, many volunteers - the list is long, but the goals are shared.
Working in partnership with community organisations has been a tradition at the MHFA for three decades. We are committed to addressing mental health needs through collaborative effort. We continue to find new ways to add value to our mental health community relationships, to strengthen their foundations so as to promote better outcomes for all.
